Membership in AFIO is open to all citizens and organizations of the US, UK, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand who support AFIO's mission and adhere to its principles.  Members and Associate Members enjoy equal benefits and privileges and may be officers or directors of the Association.

MEMBER

Any US citizen who has served honorably in a US intelligence department, agency or service.

  • Eligibility to vote in all AFIO elections and to serve on the Board of Directors or as an association Officer.
  • Member-only access to Weekly Intelligence Notes (WIN), an e-newsletter with local and national AFIO activities, synopses of news about the intelligence community, and reviews of intelligence-related books and movies.
  • A hard copy of the Intelligencer, AFIO’s flagship members-only academic journal of U.S. intelligence studies published twice a year.

Any US citizen who has not served as a US intelligence professional, but who supports AFIO's mission and principles.
