AFIO Members,
Most of you will have already noticed that in early May AFIO launched a brand-new website. Concurrently, we rolled out a new format for the weekly electronic newsletter (WIN). This is work that was contemplated over a year ago by the AFIO board, and a working group plus several dedicated contractors have been working on these new media for quite some time. We thought it was time to upgrade the 1990s technology and what better time to do that than during our 50th anniversary year. To prepare for the next 50 years, while cherishing and supporting our older members and their consumption preferences, we also wanted to make ourselves more attractive to a younger audience. As time passes, we are planning on introducing new content that has not been available in the past.
In general, the response has been quite favorable, and we have received a lot of critical compliments on these new formats. A few of you have experienced some di iculty and we have taken pains to address those issues individually. It is early days for both, and we anticipate more modifications in the future. As you visit the website and read the WIN, we welcome your feedback on what you like and what you would like to see changed.
Yours,
Jim
