Bob Eustice — Former NSA Electronic Engineer and System Acquisition Manager

Robert "Bob" William Eustice, a longtime resident of Lanham, Maryland passed away on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, at the age of 92. Bob was born in Elizabeth, Illinois. He grew up in a rural community in northern Illinois. Bob served in the U.S. Navy during the years from 1952 to 1956 as a Communications Technician in the Naval Security Group with assignments at the Naval Security Station, Washington D.C., and Naval Communication Station, Guam, M.I. He was discharged with the rank of Petty officer First Class. He went on to attend the University of Illinois and received a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering in 1960. Bob retired from the National Security Agency in 1988 with 28 years of service in the Research & Engineering Group as an Electronic Engineer and System Acquisition Manager. He was subsequently employed by Ideas, Inc., and Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) until retirement in 1998. He was an active member of the Phoenix Society.
