Michael A. Jakub, 81, of Manassas, VA, passed away on April 16, 2025.
Michael "Mike" was born in Pittsburgh, PA. He attended Duquesne University, earning an Education degree in 1966, while also being active in the U.S. Army ROTC and Pershing Rifles. He continued his education at George Washington University in Washington, DC, obtaining a Masters degree in Public Policy. After serving active duty during the Vietnam War, where he received the National Defense Service Medal, and U.S. Army Reserves, Mike pursued a distinguished career in civil service at the Defense Intelligence Agency and the U.S. State Department. He retired as the Director for Technical Programs at the Office of the Coordinator for Counterterrorism in 2011.
