In Memoriam
Allan Lavert Hollis, 88, of McLean, Virginia, passed away peacefully on August 27, 2025. Allan was born on August 8, 1937, in Odessa, Texas, to Jimmy and Letha Hollis. He spent his early years as an “oil gypsy,” moving throughout West Texas and New Mexico, working on oil rigs to support his father’s oil business in the Permian Basin.
Robert J. Finan II passed away on September 1, 2025, from complications as a result of pulmonary fibrosis from exposure to Agent Orange when he served in Vietnam and became a 100% disabled combat veteran. He graduated from La Salle Military Academy, Oakdale, NY, and Georgetown University, Washington, D.C.
