Alfred Kenneth “Ken” Harris, 90, a Veteran and patriot, passed away peacefully on August 20, 2025, in his home in Ijamsville, MD. He was born on August 12, 1935, in Brownsville, PA, a son of the late Alfred and Jean (Anfield) Harris. He served four years in the Army, including a tour in Korea working in counterintelligence, and wrapped up his service at Ft. Meade in Maryland. Ken took the skills that he developed in the Army and applied them at a relatively new agency in the government; the National Security Agency (NSA). Ken spent nearly 40 years working at NSA helping to defend his country and counter adversaries around the world. Ken retired in 1995 as a Senior Executive at NSA and was Deputy Director of Security. He was a former member of the Phoenix Society.
