David Stephen Scopp, 73, passed away in Richmond Hill, GA on Friday, January 9, 2026.
David was born in New Haven, Connecticut and raised in Windsor. He graduated from Southern Connecticut State University with a Bachelor Degree in Geography. He then backpacked around the Mediterranean for a year and returned to Connecticut to take his Master's Degree in Geography from SCSU. He later completed his Master's Degree in Systems Engineering at George Mason University.
He proudly served as a civilian employee with the Department of Defense in Washington, DC as a cartographer for the Defense Mapping Agency in 1977. He retired in the Senior Executive Service as a Systems Analyst for National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency in 2011.
