William "Bill" Hendricks, 86, of Fairfax, VA, passed away peacefully on June 22, 2026. A man of unwavering faith, Bill lived a life rich in purpose, love, and adventure.
Bill is survived by his beloved wife of sixty years, Jean Hendricks; his daughter, Julia Mason (Bucky Weaver); granddaughters, Jessica Mason Kipouros (Nick) and Caitlyn Mason; and great-granddaughter, Persephone "Percy."
A proud patriot, Bill served his country with distinction through numerous overseas missions, including assignments in Kenya, Vietnam, and Germany. He carried that same sense of duty and conviction into his devotion to Masonic principles and his enthusiastic support of the Shriners' mission to bring hope and healing to children in need. He treasured the brotherhood and camaraderie those memberships brought into his life.
Bill's infectious laughter and quick wit were his trademarks, bringing warmth and joy to every room he entered. He found his greatest happiness in precious moments shared with his daughter and granddaughters. An avid outdoorsman and adventurer at heart, he embraced life fully through fishing, hunting, sailing, exploring new horizons, and playing the bagpipes with characteristic flair.
He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
May his soul rest in eternal peace.
